However, while preparing for my own wedding, the toughest news I often heard was that my preferred dates were unavailable. This often meant having to start over or shift focus. That’s when I started considering wedding shows

Wedding shows are a beacon of inspiration for engaged couples to explore the latest trends, meet industry vendors, and discover the right venue at an open house. In the early phase of planning, you’ll feel disheveled, overwhelmed, or basically stuck googling everything. Trust me, it doesn’t have to be complicated or tedious. It should be fun and exciting to plan your big day. It’s essential to start with a vision, then build your team. It should not be the other way around.

The Importance of Wedding Shows in Event Planning

Chicago is prominent for representing so many cultures, tastes and sounds so we turned to google. Between ads and overly saturated wedding show reminders, we stopped at one of the big shows. Switching shoes and being sold services, I was a tough critic. However, I noticed a lot of repeat pitches and so much info being shoved in front of us at once.

Then I was invited to the West Loop Wedding Walk, this one was different. The vendors were fairly spread out and more invested in getting to know us. Plus spaces for large to intimate plans. 

We discovered so many vendors that we worked with both personally and professionally. It made us find the need to create this community of highlighting our favorite and highly regarded wedding shows. Therefore creating the Wedding Show Radar. Couples of all walks and communities refer to us as a guide to find the best vendors. As we are not solicited or paid to share any shows but offer some variety in all areas we serve.

As we prepare for this season of shows, we suggest exploring the Atria while at the WEST LOOP WEDDING WALK (02/02).This newly renovated venue brings elegance and culture to the Humboldt Park neighborhood. Originally a horseshoe factory, it now opens a world of creativity. Natural light washes into the ceremony space. The cozy lounge welcomes guests with an array of lightbulbs, creating a warm ambiance. The disco ball enhances the DJ space. Then, pull back the barn doors for cocktails in the speakeasy lounge or overlook the main floor from the upper level. Additionally, there is a discreet dressing room that beauticians and stylists would appreciate.

Exploring suburban Chicago? Join us at BRIDAL FAIR - OPULENCE GALLERY (02/16), a modern wedding venue in the heart of Orland Park. Walk into the foyer for cocktails or lounge in comfort prior to the reception. Ladies will feel at home in a luxe vanity room, perfect for getting ready with besties. Caterers easily keep up with service in the large prep kitchen. Brighten any moment with luxurious chandeliers and a full bar at the center of the ballroom.
